"Let us see that we keep God before our eyes; that we walk in His ways and seek to please and glorify Him in everything, great and small. Depend upon it, God's work, done in God's way, will never lack God's supplies."-Hudson Taylor
I recently found this quote from reading Hudson Taylor's Spiritual Secret, which encourages me to depend on the Lord in everything, seek to follow Him and glorify Him. It also demonstrates God's faithfulness and provision for all that is needed. I need to remain faithful, trust and seek to glorify God on this journey. I need to keep praying, and trust that God will open the door for going to Papua New Guinea by July 2011 if this is His plan. Afterall, faith is like an adventure, and involves taking risk for God as He calls.
Please pray,
-that I will remain faithful and trust God for His provision
-for God to equip me physically, emotionally, and spiritually, along with the skills that I will need.
-visa/work permit process (as of now I have submitted CV, and waiting to hear more about it)
-praise God for partners/supporters who He has given me so far, and pray for more partners/supporters for this journey, as I am in the process of partnership development
-Seek to glorify Him as I embark on this journey. Let it be about Him, and not about me.

Learning to Remain Faithful
Recently I find myself slightly distracted from this journey toward Papua New Guinea. For some reason, uncertainty kind of enter my mind, and I begin to think about other possible paths regarding the future. Then the Lord use Isaiah 26:3 to remind me to remain faithful and keep trusting in Him through reading Hudson Taylor's biography.
"You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you."-Isaiah 26:3
Please pray that I will continue to focus on the journey that God is calling me, to have faith and peace to trust in Him.

The Calling
So what lead me to take on this journey?
In January 2009, My friend, Jessica, a mobilizer for Wycliffe Bible Translators, told me about the opportunity to serve as a teacher on the mission field. I thought it was a great idea that teachers can apply their training in mission. However, I left this idea behind for a little while.
In November 2009, the Lord used the Parable of Talents from Matthew 25: 14-30 to challenged me to invest the gifts and talents that He has given me. I began to think about “How does God want me to use these gifts to invest in His kingdom?". Afterward, I prayed about teaching on the mission field, and decided to combine my passion for working with children, with my training in education.
