Learning to Remain Faithful

Recently I find myself slightly distracted from this journey toward Papua New Guinea.  For some reason, uncertainty kind of enter my mind, and I begin to think about other possible paths regarding the future.  Then the Lord use Isaiah 26:3 to remind me to remain faithful and keep trusting in Him through reading Hudson Taylor's biography.

"You will keep in perfect peace
   those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you."-Isaiah 26:3

Please pray that I will continue to focus on the journey that God is calling me, to have faith and peace to trust in Him.

The Calling

So what lead me to take on this journey?

In January 2009, My friend, Jessica, a mobilizer for Wycliffe Bible Translators, told me about the opportunity to serve as a teacher on the mission field.  I thought it was a great idea that teachers can apply their training in mission.  However, I left this idea behind for a little while.

In November 2009, the Lord used the Parable of Talents from Matthew 25: 14-30 to challenged me to invest the gifts and talents that He has given me.   I began to think about “How does God want me to use these gifts to invest in His kingdom?".  Afterward, I prayed about teaching on the mission field, and decided to combine my passion for working with children, with my training in education.
